Firstly, see vet and get some ACP tablets about 拢5, secondly write to your MP and get them banned, there is no place in todays society for high explosives to be in the publics hands, just look at how many people(kids) get hurt ever year and we call ourselves a caring society? Ban them from the public only organised displays and only on the specific day ours start 16th Oct and go onto around February.
i have that problem too. my dog tries to attack the fireworks. i haven't been able to find any way to calm her, so she ends up getting locked in the garage when we do fireworks.
Keep her in the garage or inside. It will calm her down alittle.
we always go to the vets a few days before a get some pills for them. They spend the evening on cloud 9
get it drunk pour a load of whisky in its bowl and let it drink it then it will be drunk then fall asleep
It may be a little bit too late for it now but you can actually get some doggy tranquilisers !
I must say that half the country shares your fears..all fireworks should be banned.before and after bonfire night.and only organised nights should be allowed
Try shutting all the curtains and putting the radio or some music on.
just find a nice quiet room with and put her beanbag/blanket in there. that way she will feel calm. switch a radio or tv on and dont make too much of a fuss of her or she'll get too used to the attention. also put one of your items of clothing or bed spread next to her, that way she fill feel comforted by something that smells like you but you dont need to be with her all the time my dogs exactly the same. only tonight to go though. it will soon be over hope this helps xx
get some medication from the vet. my friends had a dog that was terrified of fireworks so they gave it medication, double the dosage, on the fourth of july. but he was still scared and jumped the fence and got hit by a car.
my parents had to give their dog a sedative as the dog was physically sick
Some medication.
Few drops of ketamine maybe..lol
I once had a dog who was terrified of fireworks, I used to give her a paracetamol stuffed into a cream cheese triangle, sit on the settee with her all bonfire night and cuddle her. I`m sure she felt better just because she had my arm around her. You try it .
Cupboard, basket, blanket.
My dog has a travel crate that is his den or safe place - he goes there whenever he's scared. If you have a crate, try putting your dog's blanket and his favorite toy in there and he might feel more secure.
is today a holiday?
I also lock my dog away when I have fireworks. She does anything possible to rip them appart. There's really nothing else you can do for your dog. Sorry

Comfort her/him
i find ear plugs can help!!
For next year why don't you have a word with your vet, he can give you something to calm her
but he will want to see your pet the first time.
We did this for our dog and its worth it.
curtains clolsed, telly up loud, ignore her.
a wee drop of rescue remedy on the tongue works wonders
a dog is only scared or going loopy at fireworks because it is learn behavoiur. if your dog cowers under the settee because of the fireworks then ignore it, do not fuss it or talk to it because if you give it a reaction, it then has a reason to perform the behavoiur. if your dog is going loopy at the fireworks, get a flat collar and twist it with your fingers, which will put presure against the dogs neck therefore making it calm down
get some 'Kalms' they work for my dog. she's a small collie cross , i give her 2. available from supermarkets / health shops etc
