What causes hepatosplenomegaly in dogs?

Dog is 9, GSD. Will not eat, will drink, lethargic. X-ray shows diffuse hepatosplenomegaly. No fever. White cells and liver enzymes elevated.
Answers:
Many illnesses, including lymphoma %26 the acute form of AIHA (autoimmune hemolytic anemia), and more.

Definitely talk with your vet more, work with him or her to decide the best course of treatment and see if more tests are in order.

I hope you find the true cause and that he recovers quickly.
Wish I could help but have never heard of it. Maybe it is due to old age? What does the vet say? Hope your dog gets better.
why didn't you get your questions answered by the vet that tested the gsd? you'll have to do a search on that one? i never heard of it , sorry. good luck.
So your dog has an enlarged spleen and liver. There are lots of things that can cause that. Elevated white cells are sign of infection and leukemia. Leukemia could cause major organ failure. What does your vet say?
