What could be wrong w/my roommates new dog?

He got her y-day and brought her home today. She's at least 1 y/o and a german shepherd/yellow lab mix. There are 2 other dogs in the house and she barely acknowledges them when mine walk in her room. She hasn't shown any affection except just now she licked my hand and my face (while still laying on her bed). She hasn't eaten any food but some treats from my hand and just a little bit of water.

Is this normal? I've never seen such a big dog so calm and uninterested in everything.
Answers:
Doesn't sound right, especially a mix of two active breeds.take her to the vet for an exam, especially since there are other dogs in the house.
The dog probably just needs to get comfortable in its new environment, give her a few days.
This is a normal reaction when a dog is in strange surroundings. It feels it is in the territory of the other two dogs and isn't sure of the boundaries yet. They also need to make friends with each other. Dogs don't just all get along right away. Some dogs never do make friends with certain other dogs. Give it some time and the dog should start relaxing a bit once it realizes it is welcome there.
Well, not knowing her background, she just might be adjusting to her surroundings. Everything is new to her. She may also just not like the food. My best advice is to contact the previous owners and ask what they liked/didn't like and their demeanor before.although that should have all been done before she was brought home!
She is probably fretting a little. Also she is more than likely taking in her new surroundings and getting a feel for what is going on.She should come out of her shell in the next couple of days.Just give her plenty of attention and praise. She'll be fine.
You never know a dogs passed. But.I would give the new dog about a week to get use to her new house and new family. If still no change I would take her to the vet.

Good Luck, It will all work out!
yes of course, some dogs are obeidient especially to its owner's friends. my dogs is always friendly and likes to be cuddled with my friends. she usually hangs where my friends are. some say she wants to draw your attention to her.
Sounds like typical seperation anxiety. It will take some time, but she will come around, just show her love.
The house is new to her so she is just not yust to it yet
I think the dog is just a little unsure of the surroundings. It's always hard for an animal to get acclimated to a new home. I know when I go out of town, my dog gets really depressed and won't eat or have anything to do with anyone. He will be fine after some time.
She is probably scared. It must be spooky for her to be going from where it was familiar to where she is now, thrust into a place where nothing is familiar and she has no clue where THIS is, other dominate dogs who already have the run of the house, and she's probably hoping someone here likes me. Make sure she knows you like her, make her feel special, (like all girls do) I think your best bet is to keep a separate bowl and water close to where she is, and taking her outside separately for a few days, so she can find her spot. Talk to her sweet, all girls like that. Rub her back and talk encouraging to her. Say her name often.
Imagine if you were sent to prison and your cellmates were a two legged stinking giant(thats you) and two giant fourlegged monsters. thats how puppy feels.
