what is a "lion bred rottweiler"?

has any1 got a pic?
Answers:
I looked for any pics or descriptions.. It is either a breed description that the breeder made up..something like a Leonberger bred with Rottweiler, or a massive headed Rott, (part English mastiff) or just a cute slogan for the breeders own line..perhaps the breeders name is Lyons, or such..
It;s a gimic to make their dog sound better then someone elses dog and charge more money for them. Like teacup poodles, there is not such thing as a teacup dog, they just use it to say very tiny. Just look at the mixes like labradoodles, people will pay more money for a labradoodle then they would for a lab poodle cross.
Simply put, they are compared to the courage and forousity of a lion. They are not bred for quiet temperment, But for bad @ss guard dogs. That's the only difference.
Is it a rottweiler fed simply on lion bars?
I checked out the other answers, my first thought was it might be a typing error.
Could they mean "line bred" which is a term to describe the parentage/breeding of a specific puppy.
Did you see the name in a For Sale ad? Or have you heard breeders using the term?
If it is in an ad, it is probably a typing error, If you have heard breeders talking it is probable "line breeding"
Do you mean LINE Bred?
I'm assuming it's a kennel name, (IE Johnson bred rottweiler.)
Certain breeders are well known within the rottie "community" and their dogs are often talked about with the kennel name.
If you're sure you don't mean line bred, I reckon it's a made up name to get people to part with more money.
No such thing. It could be a fancy name for a chow/rottweiller mixed mutt, since a chow does look like a lion with a lion cut.
no such animal, they meant line bred rottweiler
There's **NO SUCH THING!!
There isnt a rottie line/breeder with a name like that so I presume you may of misheard and they mean line bred which is when you breed to a certain line of rottweilers.
if youve not misheard then Im afraid they are talking rubbish and walk away the idiot doesnt know what they are talking about.
I think you mean line-bred.

Line breeding is a non-extreme form of inbreeding.

It basically involves mating fairly close family members to encourage certain desirable traits in the offspring. Of course you also risk exposing underlying problem traits due to the closeness of the gene pool.

It is used by all dog show people and i doubt there is a Rottie in the land that is not line-bred.

As for 'lion bred' well that just doesn't exist unless someone wanted to mate their Rottie to a lion but that would just result in zero offspring and a very fat Lion !
